CHC Helikopter and OKEA strengthen alliance with contract extension
CHC Helikopter Service has announced a new four-year contract extension with OKEA, a mid-to-late-life operator on the Norwegian continental shelf
CHC Helikopter Service, the Norwegian division of the global helicopter services company CHC Helicopter, specializing in transportation and search and rescue operations, has secured a four-year contract extension with OKEA on behalf of the Draugen license.
CHC will dedicate an S-92 aircraft to support the offshore operations from Kristiansund Base.
The contract covers crew change and transportation services to OKEA’s Draugen Platform in the Norwegian Sea.
The agreement to extend the relationship between CHC and OKEA demonstrates the mutual trust and confidence between the two organizations, said CHC, as OKEA continues to depend on CHC’s safety record, operational excellence, and extensive experience in offshore operations.
Helge Nesvåg, Senior Commercial Director of CHC Helikopter Service, said: “We are proud to have been awarded this latest contract by our valued client, OKEA. The continuation of our strategic alliance reinforces our operational expertise and dedication to supporting our clients’ success. This long-term deal guarantees access to cutting-edge aircraft and highly skilled personnel, meaning we can deliver uninterrupted, year-round flying.”
Announcing this latest contract extension, CHC said it believed it was well positioned to make substantial contributions to the enduring success of offshore energy production in Norway.
Earlier in January, CHC appointed Tom Burke new CEO who will succeed previous incumbent President and CEO Jørn Madsen from 1 February.
